After adding new hard disk to FreeNAS, we may want to change some disk permission to the new hard disk. In FreeNAS, we can easily done this. This tutorial below will guide you how to change and modify permission to a hard disk on FreeNAS. We are using FreeNAS 8.0.4 on this tutorial.
1. Open FreeNAS GUI
2. Go to Storage tab and click change permission icon close to your disk. See picture below.
3. The step above will open the change permission window
You may modify the read write options to the disk. You can also change disk owner (user) and group as well. When done, press Change button to save the changes.
