Tutorial How to Install XBMC on Chrome OS 2.1
XBMC is a powerful Linux application that will turn your Linux PC into multimedia center. This tutorial will show you how to install xbmc on Chrome OS 2.1. Its not difficult to install xbmc on Chrome OS. Since Chrome OS 2.1 is based on OpenSUSE, we can use OpenSUSE community repository. We need to enable Packman repository first before we can install xbmc.
Step to install XBMC on Chrome OS 2.1
1. Enable Packman community repository
To do this, open the Software Sources and press Add. Click community repository and select Packman from the list. Then, close and refresh the repo.
2. Next, we can install xbmc on Chrome OS 2.1 by invoking this command as root
zypper in xbmc
It will download several packages (about 30 MB) from the internet. Once finished, you can start using XBMC to play your favorite multimedia files on Chrome OS 2.1
