Google disable download and convert features on YouTube. Some time ago, Google officially disable download and convert YouTube website with no logic reason (for me at least). Previously, we need to install video downloader addon in order to download YouTube videos. But now, the video downloader can’t do anything. Moreover, Google removes any YouTube downloader app from Chrome web store. So even if you've been installing YouTube downloader of web stores, you still can not download videos from YouTube.
But luckily we were still able to download YouTube videos with the help of websites such as KeepVid and much more. KeepVid is my favorite to download videos from YouTube, Vimeo, Daily Motion and others.

yeah, in general, youtube said, downloading videos that other people have posted on YouTube is not allowed. However, you can download MP4s of your own uploads.
