Unetbootin is a popular application to create Linux Live USB. Unetbootin is available for Windows, Linux and Mac. When you create Fedora 18 live usb using Unetbootin, there is no way to create persistent space on it. Also, when I try to boot my SONY Vaio F series Laptop with Intel Core i7 and nVidia graphic card, the Live USB seems not working properly.

  1. Open Unetbootin
  2. Select ISO and browse to the Fedora 18 ISO file.
  3. Select USB drive and the actual drive for your USB flash disk (i.e  E:\,F:\ etc)
  4. Press OK and wait until the process is finished

Doesn't work at all. Says i could not find file isolinux/vmlinuz0 or something. Changing path in grub didnt help too - just hangs

Works like a charm on Ubuntu 12.10.
Going to give Fedora a try after using Ubuntu 12.10 for a month. Not very stable on my toshiba z830 ultrabook.
