How to Install Opera 12.02 on Pear OS 6
This is a quick tutorial showing how to install the newest version of Opera 12.2 on Pear OS 6. Pear OS is an Ubuntu based Linux that comes with a complete modifications of Gnome 3. Opera 12.02 works pretty well on Pear OS 6. See how we do it.
1. Download Opera 12.02 DEB package
2. Save the .deb file to your Download directory.
Install using command line (Terminal):
Open Terminal and cd to your download directory.
cd /home/dhani/Downloads
Install Opera using command
sudo dpkg -i opera_12.02.1578_i386.deb
Install using Software Center (GUI)
Right click on the .deb file and select Install with GDebi Package Installer as follow
When finished, you can start using Opera 12.02 to browse you favorite website
