This Ubuntu tutorial will show you how to install Gnome Shell 3.6 on Ubuntu 12.04. Gnome Shell 3.6 is the most recent version of Gnome Shell. So, if you want to switch from Ubuntu Unity to Gnome Shell, this tutorial is truly helpful. Personally I am not the fan of Gnome Shell but trying to install Gnome Shell 3.6 on Ubuntu 12.04 could be fun. Gnome Shell offers a basic unmodified Gnome 3 version. For some people Gnome Shell still not user friendly compared to Mint Cinnamon or Mate. But this Gnome 3.6 brings a lot of improvements and hopefully this will change the user experiences while using it.
