This tutorial will show you how to install Windows 8 from a USB flash disk. I know its a bit strange to install Windows 8 from a flash disk while you have DVD ROM on your PC or laptop. But, in some cases, we need to install Windows from a USB disk when there is no DVD or CD ROM available. Its pretty simple to install Windows 8 from USB disk. Make sure you have the following items to get started
- WinUSB Maker application (for Windows)
- 4 GB or bigger USB Flash disk
- Windows 8 ISO or DVD
Steps to install Windows 8 from USB disk
1. Download WinUSB Maker application on a Windows PC (You will need 2nd PC running Windows to create Windows 8 bootable flash disk).
2. Open WinUSB Maker application
Select the USB flash disk from the list. Make sure you've inserted your flash disk to the USB port before opening this app.
3. Click Setup to USB and select the Windows 8 ISO or DVD using the provided button.
Finally press Make USB Bootable button to start the process. Once finished, you can boot your PC or laptop using the USB disk and install Windows 8 from there.
