This tutorial is going to show you how to install Flash Plugin non free on Debian 7 Wheezy. Flash Player or Flash Plugin is required by web browser to play multimedia, video content from online website such as YouTube, Daily Motion etc. You must have flash plugin installed on Debian Linux in order to play these videos.
Install Flash Player on Debian Wheezy:
Open Terminal and edit the file /etc/apt/sources.list
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
Add the following line to the file
deb ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian stable main contrib non-free
Update Debian
sudo apt-get updateInstall Flash Plugin
sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfreeDone.
Now check if you can play YouTube videos. If you can play the video, the flash plugin is well installed.
