In some cases, Windows 7 or Windows XP encounter error on device driver installation. The driver signature often cause this kind of problem and as result, the drivers are failed to be installed. Personally, I had this driver signature problem when I tried to install my Android phone on Windows 7.

Fortunately, there is a small utility called Windows driver signature enforcement override application which help us to override and force the unsigned driver to be installed on Windows. Microsoft is aware that developers cannot submit every beta build they are testing. Microsoft has provided a mode inside Windows Vista and Windows 7 that will allow developers to test their software before they submit it to Microsoft’s labs. Unfortunately, even in that test mode drivers and system files must have a test certificate before installation.

I just downloaded and installed Fedora 19 Beta on my Virtualbox. The installation went well and its pretty fast. The next thing is to install the Guest Additions on my Fedora 19. At the first attempt, I got an error message telling that no kernel match etc. But now, I can successfully installed Guest Additions on my Fedora 19 Beta. Now I can get this Fedora 19 full screen and seamless mode without problems.

Here are the steps to install Virtualbox Guest Additions on Fedora 19

Open Terminal and login as root and then install the latest kernel

yum update kernel*
yum install gcc kernel-devel kernel-headers dkms

Once those two commands completed, reboot your Fedora. On the next reboot, install Virtualbox Guest Additions.

 

How to update latest Kernel on Fedora

Kernel is the core of Linux system. In order to stay updated with the latest Kernel version, make sure you update your Fedora Linux regularly. But, in case you only need to check and update the Kernel only (not include other package updates).

To update the Kernel only, use the following command on Terminal as root:

yum update kernel*

 

Testing the new Fedora 19 Beta version-short installation review

The development of Fedora Linux is now reached version 19. It still in Beta version when this post is being written. I just downloaded the ISO file from the Fedora website and boot in on my VirtualBox as guest machine. The installation of Fedora 19 is improved and now its getting easier to install Fedora 19 on a computer. Even for a newbie can do installation without problem. All can be set to automatic including partitioning task. In few clicks, Fedora installation will finished.

Deepin Linux 12.12 Development release is now available

I like Deepin Linux because of its beauty and its simplicity. The new release candidate of Deepin Linux 12.12 is now available for download. But, this ISO file still uses the original chinese language so its very difficult for me to use it on daily base. If you want the English version, you better wait for the final version that usually available in English language.
