Tutorial how to Upgrade to Cinnamon 1.6 on Linux Mint 13

The new version of Cinnamon 1.6 is now available. Its not in the final stage but Linux Mint 13 users can upgrade to Cinnamon 1.6 to see the performance of this new desktop manager. This tutorial will show you how to upgrade to Cinnamon 1.6 on Linux Mint 13. Previously, I have posted about how to install Cinnamon on Linux Mint 13. Its not difficult to upgrade to Cinnamon 1.6. You may want to read the new features included on Cinnamon 1.6 before performing upgrade. 
First, check the Cinnamon version on your current Linux Mint 13. To check cinnamon version use the following command instead
cinnamon --version
Now, add or enable Romeo repository to your Linux Mint 13. You can do this graphically via Software source or by editing the sources.list file. Go to Menu > Prefe
If you prefer using Terminal, you can add the following line to the file /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://packages.linuxmint.com/ maya main upstream import romeo
To edit the file use this command
sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list
Then, you can use the Update Manager to upgrade to Cinnamon 1.6.0 or simply use install command and it will replace the old Cinnamon with Cinnamon 1.6.0

mint@mint ~ $ sudo apt-get install cinnamon
